Precious,Samantha and Eddo

I have three amazing kids, they are one year apart in age. They all have these creative, fun, crazy personalitites. I'll tell you a little about their younger years.

Precious, Eddie, Samantha and our German Shepherd "Queenie"

Precious was always full of spunk. Before she ever walked, I would put her in her walker and she would charge down the hall full blast, she always fell over, never cried, just hollered until I would get her back up so she'd could go again. She'd come into the kitchen when I was cooking and keep running into me, she'd make this funny sound like a horse when they whinney. As she got a little older she'd get her little fishing pole and go next door to the pond to fish for Perch. She loved to be in charge, she wanted to be the boss, so she could tell Sammy and Eddo what to do. She'd fight anyone in the neighborhood who bothered her brother or sister.

One day I was taking a shower before they had gotten up, Eddo wasn't quite a year old, Samantha was two and Precious was three years old. I went to their room to get them up, and they weren't there, I could hear something going on in the kitchen. Precious had pulled a chair up to the kitchen counter and helped Samantha get up on the counter, she was on the chair and Eddo was standing up by the refrigerator, near the chair. Precious was telling Samantha what to get out of the cabinet, she was handing the boxes to Precious upside down, so oats, flour and cereal were spilling out all over the kitchen floor and onto Eddo's head. Eddo had gotten into the refrigerator and gotten a can of biscuits and some yogurt, he had opened them and was sticking them to the refrigerator and cabinet doors. He was laughing because he was covered with cereal and oats, (see he was creative and funny even at a very young age). They were so excited when they saw me, they were fixing breakfast, I almost fainted!

There was never a dull moment in our house when they were growing up. Precious was always instigating something. Another one of her favorite things to do, was to get into the closet with Samantha and Eddo then jump up and down and pull all of the clothes down. I would hang them all back up and the next thing I knew they would be in there again.

This is one of many stories of Precious, Samantha and Eddo's childhood, I will continue to post more and share some pictures in the days to come.

They are adorable. You were a brave soul to have three so close together. What was the it like the year they were 2, 1, and a newborn?

edgy mama, it was nerve racking, crazy and rewarding all at once, all three were in diapers at the same time and the older ones would steal the younger ones bottles. I wouldn't have done it any other way if I had it to do all over again, they have always been very close and protective of each other.

You really made me laugh out loud!

I had mine close together but not quite that close! 3 1/2, almost 2 and newborn. I am with you all the way in that it was nerve wracking, crazy and rewarding. I wouldn't do it any other way now either.

How sweet! Wow, I admire you. It takes a really special person to be able to raise your own children and so many others.
That was funny about them taking the clothes off the hangers. Baby loves to dump all the toys out of the box and look at me with a smile on his face.
