Loves Music, Loves to Dance

I love music and I love to dance. Do any of you have a Trail Dust Steakhouse near by? We go there to eat a good steak, with Texas toast, Ranch style beans, Corn on the Cob, Fried Mushrooms, Salad with Ranch dressing and while we are waiting we dance. As I said in other posts, I am just a country girl, I want to enjoy every moment of life God gives me, and one of the things I enjoy doing is Dancing.I don't drink, smoke or partake in drugs of any kind. I don't even like to take an aspirin unless I truly have to. I don't need anything artificial to enjoy life. I go to the movies now and then but not very often. I love to swim, dance, and spend time outdoors.
I could swim all day long if you would let me. I love to fish, go boating and laugh. I am easily humored and it takes a lot to ever get me upset. I am very optimistic, I have a difficult time dealing with moody people, I avoid them at all costs.
But my greatest joy of all is the fulfillment I get when I have the opportunity to share Christ and what He has done in my life. I look for opportunities to share. Tonight it was in the Video store in our small town. Joseph, (a young man from the Ranch who lives with us) wanted to get a movie so I took him before I went to work. So while I was there I decided to witness to the girl behind the counter. They were slow and there was no one there to interrupt, God quickened my spirit so I shared. Just planting seeds wherever I go, and watching the seeds grow into small plants, then into trees. Our God is an awesome God.

No Steak House, but you darn sure made me hungry! And it's only breakfast time...
I don't have one of those steakhouses where I live, but it sounds like such fun! Joe and I wanted to take like ballroom dance classes just for fun! :) Never did though, maybe another time. I love spending time outdoors also, and enjoying things that not all people stop to take notice of. I am glad you were able to share the gift of Christ with that girl. You are such an inspiration!

Back where I come from, dancing was "one of the original sins." That's what I was taught in church.
Then I made a big mistake. I read Psalm 150.
"...praise the Lord with the timbrel and DANCE!"
Surely that meant something like "creative movement." So I looked it up.
It not only means DANCE, it more closely resembles what we would refer to as a belly dance!
Now what do you know about that?
God gives us such GREAT freedom.
We're supposed to go to Trail Dust pretty soon with some friends. We don't ever dance, but we're going to give it a whirl! And I LOVE their Texas Toast, that's my favorite part of Trail Dust. From your decription of yourself, it sounds like we're alot alike, but I envy your boldness of sharing the gospel. Way to go Dana!
And I did read the Mary Higgins Clark novel by the same title as your post. Forgot to mention that.
Hmm... sounds like have some stuff in common.. I love.. LOVE the outdoors and I could swim all day long if they let me too! Fishing? Boating? Check. Check. Laughing.. by far my favorite activity to do out of all of those.
Quit making me jealous over steakhouses that I can't have :( I am hungry now lol.
I love that you are so open with your faith to everyone that you meet. You are a blessing to all that are around you in real life and in the blogging community.
You go girl, plant those seeds and more power to you.
You seem like a wonderful lady. Wish we were neighbors. ;)
I'm in Texas -- of course we have Traildusts! Been a while since I've been to one, though.
Wow, prime rib suddenly sounds good...
Amstaff mom, I read that book by Mary Higgins Clark and it sure made me think about personal ads, I have a friend who met someone and married him, it all worked out, but all I could think about was that book and how it warned against meeting people that way.
Joe, that is interesting, belly dance? Don't think I would like to try that. lol!!
Msthang, maybe we will all have to go to the Traildust when you visit, do you dance? Eddo dances up a storm and he usually makes everyone dance, so get ready!!
Wickwire, it would be wonderful if we were neighbors, but I guess we will just have to be blog friends for now!!
I love to swim too. I'm not a good swimmer, but I really enjoy a cool swim on a hot day.
I dance around and my kids make fun of me.
I love it! Life is to be enjoyed. Before you know it, time has passed... Live to the fullest!
That's great! Only God knows how many apples in those seeds you are planting. I makes me smile just thinking about it. :o)
Dana, Do I dance.. and can I dance is 2 different questions. Yes I do dance.. can I do it? No lol. Do I care that other people are gawking? No lol. Do I have fun in the process.. absolutely!
But to go just to watch Eddie dance will be well worth my time hehe.
The Trail Dust sounds fun to me!
Msthang, there is no way you will be able to sit and watch. Believe me Eddo took dance lessons in college and he will teach you as you go, he doesn't take no for an answer with any of us, so if we go be ready to be a participator and not a spectator!! lol!!
No spectating here! I will bring my dancing shoes, just be prepared to laugh at me! lol.. What type of dancing are we talking about country dancing? If so he has his work cut out for him lol.
I'm jealous! I wanna dance too! lol
We do not have any Trail Dust Steakhouses here.
I am a shy dancer except when I go to a concert. There is something about the live music and the fact that everyone is watching the artist and not me. LOL
Loves Music, Loves to Dance....that's so me - two of my most favorit things ever!!
Msthang, we're talkin about two stepping, you know boot scootin!! lol!!
LOL That's what I figured/feared.. as I said he's got his work cut out for him ;) But either way.. it will be fun!
Your mention of TrailDust Steak House brought back sweet memories of when we lived in Colorado and would take our girls( they were only 4 and 5)...the restaurant had a huge slide and dancing began at 9:00. Our girls, now grown, still remember it...remember dancing with their daddy there...
Never stop planting the seed....I sometimes think back to all the times God placed someone in my path to witness to me and it is truly amazing....I praise Him everyday, that He never gave up on me....and I was so hateful to people...by grace alone...is what I say....by grace alone...I am now His and I dedicate my blog to Him every day....every hour, every minute..
Blessings,
Donna
