Missing in Aruba - Natalee Holloway
Friday, September 16, 2005
I don't know if any of you have kept up with the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. She has been missing since May 30, 2005 when she failed to return from a senior trip to Aruba. Dr. Phil aired a show on September 15th about the facts in the case that have never before been revealed, such as Joran Van Der Sloot's statements to the Police. If you are interested you can read more about it on Dr. Phil.com under September's archives.
The reason why it is an issue with me is I have two daughters and I cannot imagine the grief of not knowing where my daughter was. I don't know if I could handle reading statements made about what happened to my daughter like Beth Twitty has read about the suspect Joran Van Der Sloot regarding sexually assaulting Natalee as she went in and out of consciousness. It makes me furious to think they have let him go. If this were my daughter I would not let it rest either. Natalee's mother at times looked as if she were in a trance, the grief has really taken a toll on this woman.
This family needs our prayers and our action. We need to pray and ask God to reveal where Natalee is. Also if you are interested in voicing your concerns you can write the Aruban Government. Natalee's mom is asking every American to write and petition them to detain the suspects in this case until they get the information on where Natalee is and what happened to her. Please consider writing, they need our help.

Technically I was unable to respond yesterday. Think of John the Baptist's Dad. I think I would be remiss if I failed to continue to pray and spend this time continuing to lift you up and what God is and wants to do in and¤
This is a sad scenario. I do think though, that personal accountability comes into play here, too. For both what parents teach and how adolescents act. Prevention goes a long way towards avoiding these tragedies. I'm afraid the horse has already left the barn on this one.
My prayers have been with the family of Natalie Holloway from the beginning. As a mother of a daughter, I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to not know where she was or what happened to her. Personally I don't think they will ever find her. She's long gone, probably out to sea.
I was shocked when they let the Dutch kid go.
To me, this is a pecular story of intrigue, corruption in government, lazy investigations, and who knows what else.
We, nevertheless, must continue to pray for Natalie and her parents.
I can't even fathom what it would be like, either as the parent or the missing person. :(
Its true that after the "media" has made its money off a terrible story. they drop it and the paretnts ( in this case) live it every day forever. I let my fourteen year old daughter know that any trips she goes on will be well chaperoned BY ME, until she is 21. This is so sad, and preventable.
Oh, I have been SO torn up about this case! I'll tell you, I wish every missing child out there had a mother like Beth Twitty. She is amazing. Thank you for the great action links! It's good to know that I can actually do something.
People come on!! One child goes missing in Aruba and you make it such a big deal, what about all the other children never found in Alabama or the USA??!!! Or is it because they have money??!! REALITY CHECK!!!! Money doesn't buy happiness!!! So stop descriminating Aruba!! And I am proud to call myself an ARUBAN!!!
if your so proud where's your name
