THE GOSPEL

Have any of you seen this movie yet. I went to see it tonight after church. At first I thought it was too much, but by the time the movie got to the end, I had fought the tears back about three or four times. It really is a story of redemption.

I wondered if the same author who wrote Dairy of A Mad Black Woman authored this movie as well, some of the same actors were in it.

I am happy to see movies like this showing up where usually only secular movies are shown. The theater was pretty packed, hopefully it was a mixture of the saved and lost. Anyway, if you go see it, tell me what you think!!

I didn't even know this movie was out there. I'll have to check it out! The last movie I saw was a rental with the kids, "Racing Stripes." Before that it was "Monster-in-Law." Both were cute. I need something thought-provoking for next time.

I went and looked on www.imdb.com and neither the producer, director, or the casting person was a part of A diary of a mad black woman. Which makes me think that the group of actors you mentioned probably formed some type of "group" or following and do alot of movies together? (Kind of like Adam Sandler, or Ben Stiller, etc)

I can't wait till it comes out on video so I can see it!

My daughter and I went to see diary of a mad black woman and I really liked it for awhile, then at the end of the movie I didn't like it anymore because I didn't like her choices, as I recall. Not that I make all the right choices, or that we should always expect people to, but it was a movie, and for role model purposes, it would have been nice....Thanks for visiting my site. I prayed for you, your husband, son, 2 daughters, J,K,J,M. And Lord, bless Dana at work, let her hear Your voice and be thrilled at heart by Your personal service to her. Let us worship you in our daily walk.

I can't get to it until this weekend but I've been anticipating it. Over on christianfiction.blogspot.com, Dee, who writes the blog has a sister who is in the movie. Dee was held under a gag order not to talk about it until the shooting wrapped. After if was done, she did a whole post about it.
