NO PAIN, NO GAIN!!

Have you ever gone to work out and some yo-yo left the treadmill on full blast. You are standing on the tread mill and when you hit the power button you go flying off the end of it yelling WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! lol! You laugh from embarrassment, when all the while you are thinking what moron left the treadmill going full blast. Well, I have lived and learned, so has my daughter, it has happened to both of us at different times. Of course it makes sense to make sure you don't stand on the thing when you turn it on.
What about being in a Martial Arts Class with some lady in a pink sweat suit that is two sizes too small and when she does situps, she passes gas and the room falls dead silent, then all of a sudden someone can't hold it in any longer and bursts out laughing and you can't help it, you fall on the floor laughing too, and the whole class erupts in laughter!! You'll have to ask Eddo at Postednote.com about this one!
Then there's the time you show up at Curves and you are really into your work out and after going around for a couple of times the two ladies in their eighties are going around for the tenth time and they say, "how bout it? You wanna go again?" Don't you hate it when you get shown up by great grandma?
What fun it is to exercise!!! No pain, No Gain!

That would be me. If someone left it on high, I would probably be the one to find it. LOL
Was that you on the Vonage Commercial?
ROFL at the martial arts gas - I mean class. I've been involved in martial arts for 40 years and never enjoyed that experience - what a hoot!! Is that a Chizi kun bo Kata?
lol, that's why you stand on the sidegrips as you program your machine lol. I too learned the hardway! Only took me once to remember not to do it again lol.
Funny post Dana
That really hits home right now! Thanks--too funny!
Love this post! :)
I weigh 108 at the moment and I'm 5'6". I hate to say it, but I don't even exercise (anymore). What I do is keep my portions small and keep myself busy. I like the Jenny Craig quote, "Food doesn't taste as good as thin feels." I totally agree!
Too funny Dana. I'll have to remember that quote Maria. Altho, since I've never been thin, I'm not sure how it feels!!
So much to say, so little space. Thanks for your enthusiasm on my blog re: Matt and Brent. I'm feeling a little discouraged, so I really appreciate it. Nothing can stop God's purposes. Oh, bless your ministry Sunday! Can't wait for what God's gonna do there.
fts
I know better than to step on the actual treadmill too, but duh, I guess I wasn't thinkin! Thankfully I wasn't hurt, just my pride!
Mike,
Chizi kun bo Kata what?? Lol! You lost me there! And tell me is there a limit to the things you have done, very interesting person you are!
Msthang,
So I am not the only Dummy out there who has learned to fly via the treadmill?
Teresa,
So have you also taken a flight by Dreadmill?
Maria,
Quit Braggin!, I wish I could say I never have to exercise, perhaps I can say I never have to refrain from exercise. lol!
Leann,
So have you found the gyms in Alaska? Might be a good idea w/ those temperatures!
Ordinary Christian
Thanks always for the prayers and blessings. You and yours are in my prayers! Remember Faith is not looking at the circumstances, but knowing He is able to do abundantly more than we could ever ask or think.
Wow, I have never seen a treadmill that starts on high. Mine always starts off slow and works back up to the speed you left it at.
I never tried Curves. I went there once when the chain started in my area but I did not join.
Thank you so much for visiting. I'm glad you did! I feel cheated that I haven't found your site until now! I will visit regularly. Many of the posts you have written sound much like some of them I have written on my other web site (My Faith - link can be found on my blog)
I tried one of those treadmills last year at my sister's country club. Ugh! I hate running so I tried just doing a fast walk. Oh Man! I am much more out of shape than I thought. Although I can walk 5+ miles (fast) around here on back country roads, that machine was a totaly different experience. I'll stick to walking out in God's world and getting fresh air!
oh, and btw....I love your template and title! That is great!
Maria dear....all of us fat, need to exercise people, love you!
Dana, God love your spirit! You could probably do a whole series of posts on TRYING to exercise.
My biggest problem with the treadmill is that I don't allow myself to read novels unless I'm on it (and it's moving) But I get distracted by good scenes and stop walking.
At four miles an hour that picture is not a pretty site. Needless to say, I've cleaned out the area behind the treadmill of sharp objects.
Dana: Chizi kun bo Kata is one of about 40 Kobodo Kata. And among many, many other things, I haven't grown-up yet. I guess, I'm running out of time, huh? ;-)
HA HA HA HA! HA HA HA HA! I haven't heard the story of the girl working out with gas, but I simply must.
Just back riding the bike trail with Brian and Cat. I'm pooped and could SO identify with this post.
TOO TOO FUNNY!
It was great getting to know Joseph better last night. I promise to take good care of your fellas this coming weekend! :)
Absolutely CUTE! I enjoyed reading this post (it actually put a smile on my face). I prefer to walk in the great outdoors and avoid the treadmill snafu's!
It's so true about Curves!!!
hahah - too funny. I haven't had that happen to me - but now I will be aware.
I hope all is well with you.
LOVE the comic!
I don't go to the gym to work out. My kind of work out is the walking path over at the park. It is so much fun to walk and watch the squirrels running around.
This is why I work out in my basement.
NO, not the gas.. well, maybe.
funny post mom! love you!
Wow. I think you have a real following - me included. Pretty soon agents will be contacting you for your blog book rights. I have never encountered a tread mill that when turned on goes to high. Hasn't anyone ever told the manufactor someone can get hurt that way? Haven't been to Curves yet. Walking in fresh air, sunshine and watching squirrels is nice as far as that goes, but then you'd miss out on all that "reality TV" entertainment of people flying off treadmills and farting in class (so embarrassing). Know what I hate when at the club? Men grunting when lifting weights! Okay, come back soon now L,L,L....you've been gone long enough! Andrea

Dana!! Where are you? Come back, we miss you!!
