It's Been A Wonderful Week!
Thursday, December 15, 2005
Its been a wonderful week. I just feel so peaceful, happy, warm and cuddly right now. I am not sure if its the weather or the season, but I love this feeling. When I get off work, I jump into my Silver Mazda 626 and head straight to the lake. There is something to be said about taking a brisk walk around the Marina and just feeling the peace that comes from the water. I so love the water, sometimes I wonder if I were supposed to be a Mermaid. It doesn't matter to me if it is cold, hot, raining, snowing or whatever. I could sit all day on the end of the slip after a nice long walk and look out over the water and have this peace come over me that I cannot describe.
When I walk in the mornings, I feel God's presence, so we talk and I get some things off my mind and I examine my motives, my thoughts, my attitudes and then apply and make adjustments to my life. It is in those times at the lake or when I am alone and looking up to the sky at night that I see the things He wants me to change. I have always loved those times of being still and quiet. I guess you can say I love to laugh and have fun, but I also love to be quiet and just listen too.
Hope you all have a wonderful day in the Lord today! Thanks for all the recipes!!

I also love to be near the water. Has to be a lake or river though, I'm not much of an ocean person. I guess it's the tranquility of the water, and water sybolizing cleansing and a fresh start. Not sure if this is it or not, but it truly is peaceful.
Have a Blessed Day!
That time of stillness and quiet meditation sure is an important part of everyday. Have a good one, Dana!
Umm...if it were snowing then the water would probably be ice, so would it still be peaceful then...or just frozen?
(BTW, my word verification was toejm...made me think "toe jam" ROFL...just thought I'd share that with ya!
Hi LLL
Me and my wife love the water too.
I can really rest at the beach. We are going on a cruise in April.. I can't wait.
Thank you Sis
It is peaceful; I feel the same about a cabin on a snow-capped mountain. :)
I'm an seashore lover. Walking along the beach and listening to the waves roll in is awesome.
Dana, I'm a water person all around. I don't care what season it is, what the weather is like, or the body of water....I'll take it any day.
Hi. Thanks for your feedback on my site the other day. I've got caught up and read the last few days of your site. I learned a few new things: the word, "yall," and other words: "Shrimp Boil,"steam boat," "hot pot." But due to poor motivation on my part, I didn't learn to cook. Think I'll go for a walk instead!
We're in the middle of a blizzard. There's no water, just ice, slush and a lot of snow....but your drive still sounded peaceful!
We go canoeing almost every week, rain, shine or snow. The water is a tranquil, lovely place most of the time, and we come back so refreshed. Have a great week end.
I think that when we are quite, that is when we hear God the most. I love going on a morning walk over at the park. The squirels are running around looking for food and other people are walking too. I do my best thinking and talking to God then. Glad you have a place you can go to get this kind of time with God.
I am so jealous.
It sounds to me like you are having some wonderful moments with the Lord. He refreshes our soul and makes every day beautiful.
You were blessed with the perfect week. I love the water and the ocean - neither are in large amounts in Colorado.

A walk at the marina sounds so good... I live by a lake, and I think I'll go for a walk before church in the morning myself.
Mom, you always have loved the cold weather, but you love the hot sun too as long as you can be in the water! You probably should have been born a mermaid.
What a wonderful description! I'm glad you had such a great week!
awwww this is such a beautiful post. Just reading it put a smile on my face, and a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart. I enjoy solitude and time alone with God too.
Have a blessed Christmas.
I so love the water, sometimes I wonder if I were supposed to be a Mermaid.
That is exactly how *I* feel, too. Ask Eddo about the blog skin I'm working on...
I love it here, and couldn't bear to be anywhere else.
Christmas in Florida is a marvellous experience.
I thought I posted! I saw the pics of the beautiful baby boy!!! What a cutie! Congrats to the new grandma (? that doesn't seem right to say lol)
Being from Florida, I have been around water all of my life. I, too, love it.
I'm ready to be back in the water, salt and all!
Congratulations on becoming a grandma!!! So happy for you!
Also, my friend from work said he had left you a vm about volunteering. I told him you had had a busy week, but I just wanted to make sure that you had received his vm.
Take care!
I feel the same way about the water, I always feel so close to God when I am near water.
Amen!
Merry Christmas and may God continue to bless you and your family.
