Update!

I'm back!!! I have been soooooooooo busy!!! My daughter had a little boy, his name is Aiden Skylar Thompson and he is the cutest baby I have ever seen in my whole life. I had a dream about him last night that he was talking away to me and he was only two days old! I kept telling everyone, "He's a genius, He's a genius!!" They kept looking at me like I had flipped out, but I said, "You don't understand, babies don't talk at two days old!!" lol!

Five hours after Aiden was born, my husband's sister died. She found out she had cancer of the liver and lungs about two weeks ago. We knew it was bad, we just didn't know we would be losing her so soon. So tomorrow we will be going to her funeral.

Not only that, but two weeks ago, my husband fell on the ice and hurt himself and hasn't been able to work in two weeks. He will probably be off another two.

So it has been busy around our house, things have been bittersweet, some ups and downs, but God is still on the Throne and still in control. I have almost got the fifty two gifts wrapped for the boys, I am late getting things ready for the party at work and gifts for family, but hopefully after tomorrow things will slow down a bit.

Hugs to all of you and a very Merry Christmas!!!

Where do I start - congratulations on the new addition, grandma!!

I'd like to extend my deepest sympathy to you family on the loss of your SIL. And I hope hubby feels better soon.

You are absolutely right! God is on His Throne and in control. Our strength is in our weakness. It does my heart good to see those , who like Silas and Paul, rejoice during trying times. Here's a big hug and a ^5, Dana!

How bittersweet. First, congratulations on the new grandbaby! I'm sure he will indeed be a genius. Second, I'm sorry to hear about your loved one passing. My mom was diagnosed with liver cancer and died 3 months later. It is SO fast. Isn't it amazing how God has blessed your family with a new life just as He called one home?

Goodness! I'd say you have been on a roller coaster this week! So happy he hear about your brilliant new grandchild..How wonderful. The Lord definately brings joy with a new birth.

I'm sorry to hear about the death of your husbands sister. I know it is hard to lose someone you love and any time of year is inconvient. My 89 yr. old aunt died the at the first of the month and it was really more of a blessing than a curse. She was in her later stages of Alztimers and she didn't know who anyone was anymore. I'll miss her but I know that she is with her Lord and he loves her.

You need to put some spikes on your husbands shoes so he won't fall again. Like I tell the kids, "No blood, nothing broken, you'll live."

Don't worry about that party at work and the gift wrapping, it will all happen. Have a Merry Christmas!

Wow, what a roller coaster ride you're on!

Congrats on the genius baby. I love that name. I may need to use that for a novel character. Hmmm, talking at two days, sounds like the baby in Look Who's Talking.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's always sad to lose a loved one, but especially so near a holiday. One of my very close friends lost his father yesterday. Well, we didn't LOSE him, he went home to be with our Lord. But it was only last week that they said he wouldn't make it to Christmas.

In all things, we must give God praise. And He will lift us up and carry us. God bless you and your husband. I will pray for you both to have strength during this trying time.
