I Admit It, I am Crazy!

I have it figured out, I am nuts. I am crazy! I must be. Why else do I put myself thru all this insanity?
One of the boys I have taken in is driving me up the wall. He wants to leave one day, wants to stay the next. I am serious, every other day he is down on himself, every other day he wants to go home. He can't go home, his parole ofc told him no way, well I say, LET HIM, Puhleaseee!!!
I know God loves him and I do too, but I can't help him if he doesn't get committed. I have been on my knees every morning beside my bed, asking God to intervene, to show me how to help him, to let him feel loved, to give him the desire to do what he has to do. God answers and the kid is so happy, then tomorrow he will be so down. I think I need to find him a counselor or me one, I am not sure which at this moment. Perhaps both of us need one.

I hope in time God will help both of you. You've done a great job yourself.. it's just sometimes we need miracles..
If crazy means you have a heart of compassion and can't give enough maybe the word fits, but I don't really think so. Crazy indicates someone who isn't thinking clearly..that isn't you.
I don't know how you do it, I admire you so much, but you have to consider that this young man also has a free will.
I will continue to pray for your household..that God would give you direction and peace AND strength and also that He would touch this young mans heart and mind. You sound like you are going above and beyond for this young man, if I were near you, I give you a big hug, and maybe give him a swift kick! Sometimes you just want to take a hold of them and plead some sense into them!!

Obviously the boy is very sick. Maybe it would be best for you to simply ignore his daily wish to go home/stay. He is obviously not going home, and may be using this to mess with your head.
Also the next time he comes to you with this you could tell him that you have prayed for God's will concerning where he should live and it is no longer a subject open for discussion.
Gpd help you to cope.

Been a while since I've been able to come around. Sounds like you are just as commited as ever. To God and your boys. I'm sure the answer will come to you with the one you are having frustrations with. Be patient and have faith.
