My Husband Chuck
Tuesday, September 19, 2006
I am writing this post because my friend Ordinary Christian mentioned she didn't know I was married. I used to write alot about my husband, his name is Chuck. So since I haven't mentioned him in awhile, so let me tell you how amazing he is.
I would post his picture if I had one right now, but I don't. So let me describe him to you....he is about 6 ft. 4 in. tall, around 205 lbs, blue eyes, white hair and a white beard. He never met a stranger, he puts you at ease and you feel as if you have known him for years when you meet him. We have a marriage made in heaven, he is my best friend. He has this ability to make each and every person he talks to feel like they are the only person that matters. He loves the Lord Jesus with all of his heart and we often accuse him of working the crowd if we go to a wedding or anywhere where people gather.
If we go to a restaurant to eat, and we are about to pray he will ask the waitress if she would like to pray with us. Almost always they do and he prays for them too. Then later he will open the door to share the Gospel by asking them if they are students or where they go to church. He proceeds later to find out if we could talk with them at a later time, telling them he would like to share more with them about our faith and how Christ has changed our lives. You would be amazed at the ones who have made appointments with us and have accepted Christ. We have even given them bibles and been invited to share Christ with a boyfriend or girlfriend of theirs. I never cease to be amazed at the gift God has given him.
Another incident that happened was when we bought some land last year for an investment and as Chuck was making the deal, he began to share with this man how Christ had changed his life. He then asked him if he knew where he would spend eternity should Christ decide to come back today. The man told him, no and so he asked if he would like to know. He said, yes. So they prayed and then the guy, his name is Joe started coming to our house to Bible studies with five other young men he had led to the Lord from his job.
To sum up this post about my husband, I will say, I don't know of a more Godly man, or of a man who shares his faith wherever he is and whatever he is doing, no matter what. If you were to meet him, he will tell you about Jesus before you leave his prescence. It is just who he is, Christ changed our lives and we are humbled that He can use us to tell the good news that if He did it for us, He surely can do it for anyone we come into contact with. The Word says, He who has been forgiven much, loves much and in our case, that is the Truth! Luke 7:42,43

You're married!! I guess that means it's pretty much over for us, huh? j/k :)
What a wonderful tribute to a Godly man and a great marriage. That was really nice - applause, applause. Have a great weekend.
That was a nice post mom. You left out all the crazy stuff dad does though, like eating peanut butter and ham sandwiches and answering the phone by saying YELLO? And the tickling! Don't even get me started about the tickling... Love ya!
It's nice to hear of your husband Dana. I knew you were married, but not much else.
It is truly a blessing that Chuck has been blessed witht he gift of ministering. Asking the waitress to pray with us, now that I had never thought of. I will use it from now on. Thanks Chuck!
What a wonderful post, I really enjoyed reading about your husband and wonderful marriage, I didn't know if you were married either. He sounds like one terrific guy and you are blessed, but then you sound like a terrific gal so he must be blessed too!
