Beyond My Ability!!

Wednesday, March 19, 2008

There are many things I have learned the past year and one of them is...there are things that come my way that are beyond my ability to do anything about. I used to quote that verse, "I can do all things thru Christ who Strengthens me" and I really believed I could, but now I see He was saying He will help us thru any circumstance but it doesn't mean I am a miracle worker!!, or that He is going to perform a miracle on my behalf. He is the miracle worker but He works those miracles in His time and in His purpose and what I may think is a curse may actually be His way of working things out.

I am at a loss at times as to what I should do, how I should do it and even if I want to do it! Does that make sense? I don't even understand why alot of things happen. I don't see how God is using those things to work out His perfect plan, but I know He is. I know He is in control, He is God and He will always have the last word. It doesn't matter if the situation seems hopeless, He is still in control and He is Lord whether we recognize it or not!!

God is not thru with me yet! He is still teaching me, growing me and I am still learning!!

Hi L.L.L. Or is it Dana that you prefer? Thank you for checking in on me.

That Lori, I'm not sure why she tells people that about me being a funny guy. Perhaphs it is because of my profile picture? I might should change it out.
My blog purpose is to write and make blogging friends while portraying that a Christian man can be a fairly regular guy, the man next door.
At first it didn't have a purpose, just write and make blogging friends. Then when other demands came, like they always do, I had to decide if it was doing anything for the Kingdom of God. That is when I set a purpose to keep on blogging.
Most Sundays I will post a scripture, sometimes there is a mini lesson or commentary along with it.

You have a nice blog, I will bookmark it and check back now and then. It is nice to keep up with fellow Christian Texans. I have several blogging friends in this catagory.

Join the club Dana! Much of what you say I feel I could have said it myself (perhaps not as well, but...)
What a blessing you were to Jayleigh eh? Cool!
Yes, I feel that God still has a purpose for me, here in Dubbo. Sometimes we are impatient like small children and want to know so much. (By the way I did like your post on INGRATITUDE. Thanks.)
Keep smiling... it makes people wonder what you've been up to!!!

Amen! You had a purpose yesterday. You brighten my day.

BTW-Jim is a funny guy, while being an ambassador for Christ.

Hi Dana, long time no see...I am glad you are up and running again...I go over and read Jim too and enjoy his writing.

You are so right when you say you want to be able to do everything but can't. A lot of times, no matter what we do, people have their agency and they do not choose the right thing. They make their own decision no matter what we try to do for them.

Other times we have so much to do, we wonder how we are going to do it all. I like the scripture that says not to run faster than we are able to. I need to find that scripture so I can quote it correctly. In other words, we can only do so much. Just remember to keep the Lord in everything you do. Sometimes it is not that simple though....

Good to see you again. I enjoy reading your posts.
