Just Deal With It!

I have a supervisor who is always smiling and always has something good to say. I have another one who takes issue with everything and is very insecure. The first always recognizes anyone who goes the extra mile or just acknowledges he is glad you work for him.
I asked the first why they were so happy, and of course my motive was to find out if he is a Christian. But his answer was that he gets up and decides to have a good day because even if he isn't having one no one wants to hear about it. There is alot of truth in that.
The other day I heard a preacher say there comes a time when you realize there are things that are going to change and things that aren't. No matter what you do or say it is not going to change the situation. In the situation with my other supervisor, she has been at the job for thirteen years, everyone knows how she is, she knows her job and does it well, but is very insecure.
She will not let anyone make any type of suggestion to make things easier and if you make one, she tells you it is horrible then adopts it and institutes it as her own. There are training programs she will not let you take and manuals she won't let you see, so you have to be very careful and mention it to someone over her head in order to be able to participate in anything that she already has training in.
Anyway I say all this just to say....there are things in life beyond our control and they will never change. We cannot change those people who do not want to change, and God will not zap them and make them change, so rather than even give a moment to talking about it, or fretting about it, I have decided to just say..."Ok Lord, this one is yours, I am not gonna even waste my time, I will do what I can and the rest is up to Him." My first supervisor was right, no one wants to hear it anyway so why bother?

Great words of wisdom, now if only I could remember to apply them to my life more often!
We never stop learning do we?! It seems that insecurities are an underlying factor in a lot uncomfortable situations. Remembering that helps us to cope...and "just deal with it!".
I loved this post!
Happy Easter
Love,
Lori
Morning Dana,
There is truth in this post ? After returning to church from being sick 3 1/2 weeks I was joking with church members in sunday school class and they wanted to know if I was ok now ? I told them yes because I finnally got my old body back and that I dumped my new body ! I told them that I just had to deal with it but I'm back now !
Blessings.
Ron.
