Discernment, Discretion, Prudence

Whatever happened to using discretion? I mean I am amazed at how there is like no line people won't cross anymore. I have boundaries in my life. I am not self righteous or judgmental either, I just think we should all take some personal responsibility and don't just go along to get along or don't partake when it appears evil. The Bible says (yes I read and quote it and do my best to live it!!) to abstain from all appearance of evil. Doesn't that mean to use restraint, doesn't it mean if it appears evil, it would be best to stay away? Does that sound prudish? I don't mean to, I just feel like so many people I know don't use any kind of restraint. I mean they just fill their minds with TRASH, they watch TRASH, they read it, they devour it with this insatiable appetite. So doesn't it make sense that the Bible should be a manual for us to live by since it is from our Creator who is Wise!!!
