Prayers for Felipe & Eliana Robles

This is Felipe and Eliana, they also have a seven month old baby whom I posted pics of earlier. They are part of our extended family. Felipe lived with us for about a year and a half, Eliana lived with us for a little while, my husband Chuck performed their marriage. They bought a home across the street from us and Felipe has been in the ministry with Denton Bible Church for almost three years.

Felipe is from the boys home we ministered at for eleven years. We are now going back to continue our efforts to reach the boys and staff.

Felipe, Eliana and their baby, Elijah need your prayers. Felipe has slipped back alot in the past year, he is not as close to his christian friends and is not really involved in the ministry anymore. He seems to be pulling his life back together now. We are praying he continues to stay close to Christ.

He is swearing into the Army on Feburary 10th, he will be going into field artillery. He is 21 years old and says it has always been his dream. Eliana is not very happy about it, but is supporting his decision so pray for them please.

As I said in my earlier post, God knows what He is doing, it is not for me to question, but only to trust Him. So I put them in His hands and ask yall to pray for them to fall more deeply in love with Christ and with each other and seek His will in all they do. Thanks to all of you!

The Most Important Things in Life

The most important things in life are not things. I am a person who does not place alot of importance on material things. It doesn't matter to me if I live in a fancy home, have a beautiful car, make alot of money. Yes I enjoy those things, but what's really important to me is first my relationship with Christ, my husband and family, you know...the things that you can't put a price tag on.

Our world is so greedy, so materialistic. So much is put on appearance, on what a person wears, on how much money they make, where they work, etc. Some people get their identity from those things. I get my value and worth from my Creator. I am a child of the living God. The president of the United States does not even know my name, but God himself does. Not only that we have a personal one on one relationship. I love him and He loves me.

I am at peace knowing that all things work together for good to those who love Christ and are called according to His purpose. I can't say I understand everything that goes on, but I know He knows what He is doing and is able to take care of it all. I know I am blessed to have met alot of people thru this blog who also love Christ and their friendship means the world to me. I have not blogged in awhile, but I have missed all of you so much!
